Today is Christopher Hitchens’ birthday. As you may know, he is dead now, which I find unreasonably difficult to deal with. He probably wouldn’t have liked me very much, since I’m too lenient towards believers and too bent on being reasonable. Maybe I’m just a coward.
Regardless, I hope everyone checks out Christopher Hitchens today. He was, hands down, the most fascinating combination of eloquence, belligerence and entertainment I have ever witnessed, and agree with him or no, you cannot disregard the footprints he left behind.
